Steve Jobs Looks Terrible :S

TMZ today published a photo of Apple’s ex-CEO Steve Jobs after his resignation which was two days ago. We are really doubtful about the legitimacy of this picture but TMZ is a very reliable source for getting pictures. If this is true, Steve Jobs is in bad shape, he is very ill, and even can’t stand by himself.

Steve Jobs resigned as CEO of Apple, but decided to remain chairman of the board of directores, but it looks like work is the last thing concerning him and his family.

We shared the photo with our readers to ask you to remember Steve in your prayers and wish him a healthy return.

Steve Job Resigns

Steve jobs is the most popular CEO of the world. He was working for Apple for a long time ago as a Chief Executive Off

Steve jobs is the most popular CEO of the world. He was working for Apple for a long time ago as a Chief Executive Officer. Last night, Apple’s board of directors have announced that Steve is resigning as Apple CEO. The board decided that Tim Cook is the new Apple’s CEO.

steve-jobs

CEO’s responsibility is to bring the company in a best position and Steve Jobs was the best example. He brought Apple where Apple is right now. In this time where iPhone5 is ready to launch and the race of developing Smatphone and tablets is on its peak, Apple’s brightest and most innovative days are ahead, it is an awful news that job resigned, but hope for the best, Tim Cook as new CEO and also hope that he will not disappoint the Apple on every aspects.

Steve Jobs is resigning from the post of CEO but the good new that he is not leaving Apple. Apple will also need him as he will serve Apple as a chairman of the board. No doubt this post is more challenging than the CEO, but we are pretty sure that he will work more harder then before to prove himself in the new job.

After looking at the history of Apple and Steve Jobs, we can say that Steve Jobs cradle the Apple and now it is the world’s most famous company.

Look at the resignation letter from Steve Jobs:

To the Apple Board of Directors and the Apple Community:

I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple”s CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come.

I hereby resign as CEO of Apple. I would like to serve, if the Board sees fit, as Chairman of the Board, director and Apple employee.

As far as my successor goes, I strongly recommend that we execute our succession plan and name Tim Cook as CEO of Apple.

I believe Apple”s brightest and most innovative days are ahead of it. And I look forward to watching and contributing to its success in a new role.

I have made some of the best friends of my life at Apple, and I thank you all for the many years of being able to work alongside you.

Steve

We hope that the board will work more efficiently under the supervision of Steve Jobs. Our best wishes are with Steve Jobs and Tim Cook.

Apple Making Cheaper 8GB iPhone 4

A report indicates that Apple has ordered its Asian manufacturers to produce a cheaper 8GB iPhone 4. Currently, the iPhone 4 is Apple’s flagship smartphone and by releasing a cheap iPhone 4, Apple will break in to an entirely new market segment that it has previously kept itself out of.

According to a Reuters report, the 8GB flash memory of this cheap iPhone 4 is being developed by a Korean company whereas the current 18GB and 32GB iPhone 4 memory is manufactured by Toshiba and Samsung. By reducing the memory, Apple can cut down the cost on the whole unit because as per one estimate, the on board memory accounts for 15% of the whole manufacturing cost of one iPhone 4 unit. Right now, the iPhone 4 16GB and 32GB cost $649 and $749 respectively. We know that this is quite high for most people. So by releasing a cheap iPhone 4 that will probably be priced around $250-$300, Apple will try to capture a market that is currently dominated by most mid-range Android smartphones.

Apple may want to push into the emerging market segment where customers want to switch to low- to mid-end smartphones from high-end feature phones, which usually cost $150-200

iPhone 5 CONFIRMED for October release

A report indicates that VP of AT&T casually let it slim to AT&T retail employees that they should get ready for an early October launch of the iPhone 5. This happens to be the first time a major carrier executive has mentioned a possible timeframe for next generation iPhone release.

Expect things to get really, really busy in the next 35-50 days, so prepare your teams accordingly

This is what AT&T VP told employees a couple of days back confirming various sources that an iPhone 5 release is indeed slated for October 2011. The fact that AT&T has been an exclusive carrier of the iPhone for over 3 years makes us certain that is release date is legitimate.

As per the rumors we have seen and heard up till now, an iPhone 5 launch event is said to be held in the second week of September whereas shipment will start from October. We can trust word from AT&T as it is one of Apple’s closest partners and the two companies have been working together for quite a number of years now.

It is expected that the iPhone 5 will be thinner, tapered as well as radically lighter than all previous iPhones that we have seen. It is also expected that Apple will release a cheaper, cloud based iPhone at the iPhone 5 release event. However, we can’t be sure until and unless Apple comes forward with the official details.

iPad 2 smart cover with a back

Apple’s smart cover for iPad 2 really is a revolutionary design, however, it fails at one thing: covering the back. While the screen of the iPad is properly dealt with, the backside is left exposed to mother nature. Griffin has recently released the IntelliCase for iPad 2, essentially a ‘smartcover’ with a back to protect both sides of your device.

The IntelliCase is a perfect marriage of protective polycarbonate, to guard the back of your iPad 2, and flexible thermoplastic polyurethane, to protect your Multi-Touch display. Strategically-placed magnets in the cover trigger sleep sensors located inside the iPad 2 automatically waking the device when the case is opened and putting to sleep when the case is closed.

“Consumers were eager for a case that protected the back of the iPad 2 but also took advantage of the interactive feature that the magnetic sensors enable,” said Mark Rowan, President of Griffin Technology. “The IntelliCase for iPad 2 offers users just that, protection for the back while incorporating a cover that automatically wakes your iPad when it’s opened.”

Not only does the flexible cover protect the screen of the iPad, it also can be folded in two positions. The upright workstand is great for watching videos and reading, or it can be laid down at a perfect incline that is conducive for typing.

You can buy the IntelliCase for $59.99 here.

iPhone Air?

We’ve seen so many iPhone 5 concepts and most of them are really perfect but this new one is a bit different. Ciccarese Design has took the rumors then created a visual design concept of the iPhone 5. This design has a tear-drop design and the edge-to-edge display.

Check out the mute button. Its actually a button, no more a switch, which makes a lot more sense. The design also looks thinner and a bigger display, just the same as the rumors claim. It also runs the unreleased iOS 5.

On a scale from 1 till a light-saber, how cool does this design look?

Apple pushes iOS 4.3.5

Last night, Apple pushed a new version of its iOS for iDevices addressing a security vulnerability with certificate validation.

As usual iPhone dev-team will release jailbreak 4.3.5 iPhone 4, 3GS, iPod touch 4G, 3G, iPad 1 within few hours via Resn0w 0.9.8b5 but it is a tethered jailbreak.

Recommendations:

  • Don’t upgrade to iOS 4.3.5 until official jailbreak 4.3.5 releases.
  • Save iOS 4.3.4 SHSH blobs before Apple close it, you can use TinyUmbrella or iSHSHit.

iPad 2 users DO NOT upgrade to this firmware at any cost, at risk at losing your 4.3.3 untethered jailbreak.

OTA UPDATES WORK!

Have a slow internet connection? Complaining at how big iOS is becoming? Apple finally solves this issue with over-the-air updates.

Apple has released the first software that can be downloaded using Apple’s new over-the-air. The guys over at Macrumors noted that iOS 5 beta 4 over-the-air update is 133 MB while the full version is 824 MB.

Over-the-air software update is downloading code that has changed only. Over-the-air update on iOS 5 beta 4 saves about 700 MB of downloading. Thanks Apple 😉
