The iPhone Dev-Team have released the command line interface (CLI) version of the iPhone 4S and iPad 2 Untethered Jailbreak to the public. This new CLI Jailbreak Tool will allow users to go through the Jailbreaking process from start to end by typing in commands through terminal. The reason someone would want to go to the trouble of using CLI over the GUI (graphical user interface) counterpart Absinthe. Is because the CLI tool will allow you to debug your Jailbreak to help find out why you are having errors Jailbreaking your A5 iOS device.

Jailbreak iPhone 4S / iPad 2 In A Few Hours!!!

Attention all people, we have got the best news that you are going to hear in 2012 because right now the well known hacker Pod2G has just announced on his blog that Untethered jailbreak for both iPhone 4S and iPad2 will be released in a few hours from now…
According to Pod2G the tool that will named Absinthe and it will untethered jailbreak for both iPhone 4S and iPad 2, the tool is developed by Chronic Dev Team, and right now they are downloading it and it should be released in a few hours from now, also another good news we have got that  the iPhone Dev Team will release a CLI (command line) tool to help diagnose issues and repair things if it goes wrong.

Here is the complete list of Absinthe supported devices :

  • iPhone 4S running iOS 5.0, 5.0.1 (9A405 and 9A406)
  • iPad 2 Wifi/GSM/CDMA running iOS 5.0.1

What’s new about this jailbreak is that it’s the first time hacker use the backup and restore functions of iTunes to install software. So they’re warning, there might be some issues with it.

Very Important Notes About The Jailbreak For iPhone 4S / iPad 2 with Corona

Just recently, iPhone Dev-team has just stated in teams’ blog new post that Corona A5 jailbreak is ready and we’re nearly ready for a general release! and the iPhone hacker @MuscleNerd has confirmed  that on his twitter acount

what are we supposed to read  carefully about Jailbreak iPhone 4S / iPad 2

Jailbreak programs:

To be as flexible as possible, the A5 version of the corona jailbreak will take multiple forms:

  • Chronic Dev have incorporated the overall flow into a GUI that runs on your Mac or PC
  • iPhone Dev have incorporated the exact same flow into a command-line interface (CLI).  This will allow us to help users through individual steps of the jailbreak manually, to both help the user and help improve the overall flow.  Although the CLI will also allow the user to perform the entire jailbreak from beginning to end, we anticipate it will be more useful in debugging the occasional errors.  The CLI currently has over 20 individual options (in addition to the single “jailbreak” option) that should be useful during debug after the GUI release.
  • Once all the bugs in the flow are worked out, we’ll also incorporate it into the redsn0w GUI (but still leave the CLI freely available too).  In order to maximize the chances of the jailbreak working for everyone, the redsn0w GUI will use native Apple iTunes libraries — this technique is slightly different than how the Chronic Dev GUI handles communications, and should provide nice combined coverage for all the odd computer configurations out there.

  • Because there were so many different people and teams involved in the A5 corona release, we all felt the most equitable approach to any Paypal contributions should involve a single shared account.  If you do feel the desire to contribute to the “dream team” Paypal account, it will be distributed to the members according to internally agreed-upon proportions :)   The same link will be on both the Chronic Dev and iPhone Dev versions of the GUI.  This method seemed like the fairest to everyone involved!
  • What will be the jailbreakable fimwawares ?

iPhone4S: 5.0 (9A334), 5.0.1 (9A405) and the “other” 5.0.1 (9A406)
iPad2: 5.0.1 (9A405)

iPhone4S owners looking to maximize their chances of achieving an eventual software-based carrier unlock should be staying at 5.0.  Everyone else should be at 5.0.1.  If you’re an iPhone4S owner who already updated to 5.0.1, it’s too late to go back down to 5.0, but if you’re on 9A406 it is possible to downgrade the BB by going to the 9A405 version of 5.0.1 while the window is still open.

  • Notes before jailbreak iPhone 4S and iPad 2:

The overall flow used by the GUI and CLI to inject the A5 corona jailbreak has never been done before, and there may be unforeseen problems once it’s released to the public.  It’s very important for you to sync your data, photos, and music before attempting any version of this jailbreak.  We’ll be watching the comments section below for signs of any widespread problems, but please be aware that you jailbreak at your own risk!

Bad News: Jailbreaking Your iPhone 4S Might Stop Siri :S

Just a quick heads up for iPhone 4S users who’re waiting eagerly for the iPhone 4S jailbreak which is supposed to be released very soon. According to the iPhone hacker Stefan Esser, better know as i0n1c, Apple’s voice assistant Siri stopped working on his iPhone 4S after running the unreleased jailbreak on it.

Stefan Esser claims that there might be jailbreak detection in Siri which will stop Siri from working on the device. Esser notes out on Twitter that “Siri stopped working after a day of running with jailbroken kernel on the iPhone 4S”. Strange, isn’t it?

As most of you know, the iPhone 4S and iPad 2 (A5) untethered jailbreaking is making its way to the jailbreak community. We’ve seen a video showing iPhone 4S iOS 5.0.1 untethered jailbreak and a photo showing iPad 2 on iOS 5.0.1 jailbroken too.

The news from i0n1c seems to be bad news for iPhone 4S users but in my opinion, I think jailbreaking is not the reason why Siri stopped working. There may be something else which caused Siri to stop working. My advice now is that if iPhone 4S jailbreak is released, don’t rush doing it. Just wait for this issue to be confirmed. Stay tuned as we’ll get back to you once we know something new.

Download Sn0wbreeze V.2.9.1 To Fix Numerous Bugs

Well, here’s some good news for all iPhone users, as we all know a couple of days ago iH8sn0w the well known hacker released Sn0wbreeze v.2.9 which gives you a major upgrade giving you some new features, but after that it looks like that some folks particularly those with an iPhone 3G trying to flash over a custom iPad baseband, there’s been a few notable issues. Enter Sn0wBreeze 2.9.1…

A few days after Sn0wbreeze 2.9 released, iH8sn0w appears again saying that he has just seeded Sn0wbreeze 2.9 update fix some numerous bugs, right now iH8sn0w released Sn0wbreeze 2.9.1 which contains a patch for the iPhone 3G iPad-flashing issue, as well as some other bug fixes.

We are not sure if you faced any problem during your jailbreak or not, so for those guys who are facing troubles, they would like to download Sn0wbreeze 2.9.1 which fixes any bugs..

Okay here’s some good news for those guys who are waiting for iBook fix, as we all know since Apple released iOS 5.0.1, many users are facing iBook problem, also we reported for you that @Pod2G the well known hacker who is working on A5 Untethered jailbreak that he is working on fixing iBook issues, today MuscleNerd has just announced on his Twitter account saying that he has just updated Redsn0w to version 0.9.10b4…

Too many users have been waiting for updating Redsn0w to fix iBooks issue, here’s Musclenerd tweet:

The Dev Team goes on to say that like the update to Corona, the latest version of RedSn0w includes a fix for the sporadic launchctl issues as well.

Jailbreak iPhone 4S iOS 5.0.1 Untethered Demo

A few days ago we informed you that hackers are just few days away from releasing A5 untethered jailbreak. This jailbreak includes iPhone 4S and iPad 2. There’s still no exact release time but at least we know that it’s coming to the public very very soon.

pod2g has just posted a video to his blog of an untethered jailbreak running on Apple’s latest handset, the iPhone 4S.

The video was made by his friend Dustin Howett, a popular iOS developer and hacker. In the video below, a real untethered jailbreak is shown on the iPhone 4S.

As a side note, planetbeing today announced that he could get unsigned code on his iPhone 4S.
