Hackulous Shuts Down Both Installous & AppSync

Hackulous has announced retiring both Installous & AppSync piracy apps forever.

The short message left by the Hackulous team on the website reads as follow:

Goodnight, sweet prince.

We are very sad to announce that Hackulous is shutting down. After many years, our community has become stagnant and our forums are a bit of a ghost town. It has become difficult to keep them online and well-moderated, despite the devotion of our staff. We’re incredibly thankful for the support we’ve had over the years and hope that new, greater communities blossom out of our absence.

With lots of love,
Hackulous Team

What do you think? Is this really why Installous and Appsync are shutting down? Or has Hackulous caved under the pressure of anti-piracy corporations trying to shut them down?

Either way, Apple should now consider making iOS 7 open source, and allow for tweaks to be sold in the AppStore rendering jailbreaks unnecessary. We’ll just have to wait and see.

Well no, you can sync it but you cant download appstore apps for free anymore since as far as i know, you need installous to be able to tun cracked apps on a jailbroken iphone and you need appsync so sync these pirated apps with itunes.
